A duly authenticated copy of a marriage license with the certificate of the person celebrating the marriage or a duly authenticated copy of a final order of divorce showing a change of name of any person shall be entitled to be recorded in the clerk's office in which deeds are recorded of the county or city in which any land, or an interest in any land, that is owned by such person lies and shall be indexed by such clerk in the grantor and grantee indices in his office.1958, c. 220, § 55-106.1; 2019, c. 712; 2024, c. 711.
