Each clerk, monthly, or oftener if called upon by the Comptroller, shall make out a statement, upon forms prepared by the Comptroller, of all taxes and other money belonging to the Commonwealth collected by him during the preceding month. The statement shall be signed by the clerk and sent to the Comptroller, and the clerk shall at the same time pay into the state treasury the amount of taxes collected by him.Code 1950, § 58-971; 1984, c. 675.
