Va. Code § 59.1-568: Civil penalty

In addition to the provisions of § 59.1-561, any person, firm, corporation, association, agent, or employee who knowingly violates any procedure implemented under subsection D of § 59.1-557 or any other provision of this chapter shall be liable for a civil penalty of not more than $1,000 for each such violation. Such amount shall be recovered in a civil action brought by the Department and be paid into the State Literary Fund.2016, cc. 318, 703.
