Va. Code § 63.2-1614: Authority to receive and grant funds

Subject to regulations of the Board and to the availability of state or federal funds for services to the victims of domestic violence, the Department is authorized to:1. Receive state and federal funds for services to the victims of domestic violence;2. Disperse funds through matching grants to local, public or private nonprofit agencies to provide service programs for the victims of domestic violence; and3. Develop and implement grant mechanisms for funding such local services.1980, c. 597, § 63.1-318; 2002, c. 747.
