An action may be maintained for waste of a decedent's estate against (i) the personal representative of a person who, without any lawful authority, assumes to act as an executor or (ii) the personal representative of a rightful executor or administrator.Code 1950, § 64-157; 1968, c. 656, § 64.1-167; 2012, c. 614.
