23 V.S.A. § 1011: Applicability of this chapter

(a) The provisions of this chapter relating to the operation of motor vehicles apply to operation upon public highways only, except where a different place is specifically referred to.

(b) On-duty enforcement officers are exempt from the speed limits established in accordance with sections 1003 and 1007 of this title and fixed by section 1081 of this title.
