24 V.S.A. App. ch. 126, § 26: Selectboard; terms of office

(a) Each member of the Selectboard shall be elected for a term of three years. In the first election after this charter is approved by the General Assembly, two members of the Selectboard shall be elected for terms of three years, two members shall be elected for terms of two years, and one member shall be elected for a term of one year. After the first election following adoption of this charter, members of the Selectboard shall be elected for terms of three years as prior terms expire.

(b) The members of the Selectboard shall be elected at large. The candidates with the largest number of votes for offices of equal terms shall be elected to those offices.
