24 V.S.A. App. ch. 147, § 7.2: Qualifications

(a) The Manager shall be chosen solely on the basis of his or her executive and administrative and professional qualifications.

(b) The Manager shall not take part in the organization or direction of a political party; serve as a member of a party committee; nor be a candidate for election to any federal, State, or Town of Shelburne office.
