24 V.S.A. App. ch. 225, § 112: Compensation and fees

(a) The Village meeting may annually vote the compensation to be paid to the following officers:

(1) Trustees.

(2) Auditors.

(3) President.

(4) Board of Civil Authority and Abatement.

(b) All fees prescribed by State law, charter, ordinance, or otherwise shall be collected for the benefit of the Village and paid to the Village Treasurer. No fees shall be used directly by any receiving officer or inure directly to the benefit of the officer.
