RCW 18.79.160: Applicants—Required documentation—Criteria—Rules. (Effective until June 30, 2027.)

(1) An applicant for a license to practice as a registered nurse, advanced registered nurse practitioner, or licensed practical nurse shall submit to the board:

(a) An attested written application on a department form; and

(b) Any other official records specified by the board.

(2) An applicant for a license to practice as a licensed practical nurse shall also submit to the board written official evidence that the applicant is over the age of 18.

(3) At the time of submission of the application, the applicant for a license to practice as a registered nurse, advanced registered nurse practitioner, or licensed practical nurse must not be in violation of chapter 18.130 RCW or this chapter.

(4) The board shall establish by rule the criteria for evaluating the education of all applicants.
