RCW 39.26.267: Purchase from fuel suppliers—Climate commitment act compliance obligations.

(1) Beginning January 1, 2027, a seller of any combination of gasoline, diesel, biodiesel, or propane fuel is only eligible to receive a contract awarded by the state, any state agency, or any municipality, if the seller:

(a) Is registered with the department of ecology as a covered or opt-in entity under chapter 70A.65 RCW; or

(b) Can provide documentation, including but not limited to invoices, demonstrating that the fuel being sold was purchased from a covered or opt-in entity registered with the department under chapter 70A.65 RCW and the emissions from the fuel are covered emissions for the covered or opt-in entity.

(2) For purposes of this section, "municipality" means every city, county, town, special purpose district, political subdivision, or instrumentality of the state.
