RCW 46.68.550: Commercial truck safety and education account.

The commercial truck safety and education account is created in the custody of the state treasurer. All receipts directed to this account in RCW 46.17.315(2) must be deposited in the account. Expenditures from the account may be used only for activities recommended by the Washington state commercial truck safety and education council created in RCW 43.59.190 to improve the safety of the commercial truck industry and related administrative costs. Only the director of the Washington traffic safety commission or the director's designee may authorize expenditures from the account. The account is subject to allotment procedures under chapter 43.88 RCW, but an appropriation is not required for expenditures.
