RCW 69.41.041: Long-term care facilities and hospice programs—Legend drug prescriptions and chart orders.

(1) A pharmacy may dispense legend drugs to the resident of a long-term care facility or hospice program on the basis of a written or electronically signed prescription or chart order sent via facsimile copy by the prescriber to the long-term care facility or hospice program, and communicated or transmitted to the pharmacy pursuant to RCW 18.64.550.

(2) For the purpose of this section, the terms "long-term care facility," "hospice program," and "chart order" have the meanings provided in RCW 18.64.011.
