Wis. Stat. § 938.10: Power of the judge to act as intake worker.

The duties of the intake worker may be carried out by the judge at his or her discretion, except that if a request to file a petition is made, a citation is issued, or a deferred prosecution agreement is entered into, the judge is disqualified from participating further in the proceedings.
