Centi- c × 10−2

Milli- m × 10−3

Micro- µ × 10−6

1 102=100; 103=1000; 10−1=0.1; 10−2=0.01.

Thus, 2 kg=2 × 1000 g=2000 g, and 3 cm=3 × 0.01 m=0.03 m.
