34 U.S.C. § 12575: Eligibility

(a) ScholarshipsA person shall be eligible to receive a scholarship under this part if the person has been employed in law enforcement for the 2-year period immediately preceding the date on which assistance is sought. (b) Ineligibility for student employmentA person who has been employed as a law enforcement officer is ineligible to participate in a student employment program carried out under this part.
