For purposes of the Manufacturer Discount Program, when a manufacturer acquires another manufacturer after 2021 (that is, the acquired manufacturer becomes part of such acquiring manufacturer under the aggregation rule at § 423.2716(c)), the acquired manufacturer assumes the phase-in status of the acquiring manufacturer, effective at the beginning of the plan year immediately following the acquisition or, for an acquisition before 2025, effective January 1, 2025.
