46 U.S.C. § 7316: Lifeboatmen

To qualify for an endorsement as lifeboatman, an applicant must provide satisfactory proof that the applicant—(1) has the service or training required by regulation; (2) is qualified professionally as demonstrated by examination; and (3) is qualified professionally by actual demonstration.
