Ala. Code § 45-49-140.01: Establishment of Districts.

Any area situated entirely within the county may be established as a district for fighting fires as provided herein. Provided, however, no land lying within the boundaries of a municipality or an existing fire fighting and emergency medical services district at the time of the election shall be included in a newly established district.
