The following words and terms as used in this subpart shall have the following meanings ascribed to them, unless a contrary meaning is apparent from the context:
(1) DISTRICT FOR FIGHTING FIRES. A district created under this subpart for establishing and maintaining a system for fighting or preventing fires.
(2) DISTRICT FOR FIRE FIGHTING AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES. A district created under this subpart for establishing and maintaining a system for fighting and preventing fires and a system for the operation of emergency medical services.
