Ala. Code § 45-58-121.17: Limited Application of Provisions.

This part shall not apply to any employee of the Shelby County Sheriffs Department, and this part shall not affect the Shelby County Law Enforcement Personnel Board in any manner whatsoever. No provision of this part may be construed as affecting any part of Subpart 2, commencing with Section 45–58–231.20, of Part 2, Article 23, establishing the Shelby County Law Enforcement Personnel Board.
