Ala. Code § 45-58-231.40: Violations.

Any person who violates this subpart shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished as prescribed by law; additionally, any employee appointed or approved for county or municipal service pursuant to this subpart who wilfully violates this subpart, including any rule or regulation adopted by the board, shall be dismissed immediately and shall not be eligible for reappointment for a period of two years.
