Ala. Code § 45-59-140.06: Payment of Election Costs.

Where an election is held on the question of the establishment of a district in conjunction with another election, the governing body of the county shall pay for the necessary expenses of advertising and conducting the election out of the general funds of the county. The district shall pay the expense of any special election held on behalf of the district.
