C.R.S. § 6-25-111: Liability for baggage left by guest.

If an individual who has been the guest or patron of a hotel or public establishment ceases to be a guest or patron and leaves with the landlord or keeper of the hotel or public establishment any baggage or other personal property for safekeeping, and the landlord or keeper accepts and receives the same for safekeeping and makes no charge for services or storage in keeping the property, then the landlord or keeper is liable only as a gratuitous bailee and, as such, is liable for no sum greater than fifty dollars.
