D.C. Code § 1-301.47

For the purposes of any act or resolution of the Council of the District of Columbia, unless specifically provided otherwise, the term:

(a)

(1)

"Act" means an Act of the Congress.

(2)

"act" means an act of the Council.

(3)

"Attorney General" means the Attorney General for the District of Columbia or designee established under § 1-204.35.

(4)

"Council" means the Council of the District of Columbia established under § 1-204.01.

(5)

"District" means the District of Columbia.

(6)

"Home Rule Act" means the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, Chapter 2 of this title.

(7)

"Mayor" means the Mayor of the District of Columbia established under § 1-204.21.
