D.C. Code § 42-1681: Definitions.

(a)

For purposes of this chapter, the term:

(1)

"Department" means the Department of Housing and Community Development.

(2)

"Funeral services establishment" shall have the same meaning as set forth in § 3-402(11).

(3)

"Heir" shall have the same meaning as set forth in § 20-101(c).

(4)

"Legatee" shall have the same meaning as set forth in § 20-101(g).

(5)

"Survivor of the deceased" means any individual with whom funeral services are being arranged.
