410 ILCS 707/45: Penalties.

Upon a finding that a person or retailer has violated this Act, the Department may impose fines as follows:

(1) for a first violation within a 24-month period, a fine not to exceed $500;

(2) for a second violation within a 24-month period, a fine not to exceed $750; and

(3) for a third or subsequent violation within a 24-month period, a fine not to exceed $1,000.

Fines imposed under this subsection are in addition to, and not in lieu of, any other civil, criminal, or administrative remedy available under this Act or any other law. All penalties collected shall be deposited into the Illinois Hemp Regulatory Fund.
