IC 16-41-16-6.9: Responsibilities of a person who generates infectious waste

Sec. 6.9. (a) A person who generates infectious waste is responsible for the:

(1) appropriate containment;

(2) appropriate labeling;

(3) effective treatment;

(4) transport; and

(5) disposal of;

infectious waste as required by this chapter.

(b) A person may provide services to the person who generates infectious waste, including the responsibilities described in subsection (a)(1) through (a)(5). A person described in this section shall comply with the requirements of this chapter.
