IC 22-9.3-2-7: "To take an employment action"

Sec. 7. As used in this article, "to take an employment action" means to hire, fire, promote, refuse to promote, demote, reward, or penalize a person with respect to employment or an employment opportunity, unless the employment action is based on a bona fide occupational qualification.
