  1. KRS Chapter 156

The Kentucky Board of Education, upon requisition to the Finance and Administration

Cabinet, may secure price contract agreements for the purchase of supplies and

equipment by district boards of education. The board by regulation shall specify the

particular types of supplies and equipment for which contracts shall be secured and may

revise such lists from time to time. The board, in consultation with the Finance and

Administration Cabinet, shall fix standards of quality and quantity and shall develop

standard specifications for supplies and equipment. The Finance and Administration

Cabinet shall enter into price contract agreements under the law relating to state

purchasing. Such contracts shall establish sources of supply, maximum prices to be paid,

and shall set forth the length of time for which such contracts shall be valid, not to exceed

one (1) year.
