KRS 286.13-140: Cease and desist order. (Effective April 30, 2027)

(1) Subject to KRS 286.13 -125, the commissioner may issue a cease and desist order

requiring an applicant, a licensee, a virtual currency kiosk operator, an agent, or any

other person to cease and desist from violating one (1) or more identified provisions

of the following, if the commissioner has reason to believe or determines that the

violations have occurred or will occur:

(a) This subtitle;

(b) An administrative regulation promulgated under this subtitle;

(c) An order issued under this subtitle; or

(d) An agreement entered with the commissioner relating to compliance with this

subtitle.

(2) A cease and desist order issued under this section shall remain in effect until it is:

(a) Stayed, withdrawn, suspended, or superseded by order of the commissioner;

or

(b) Terminated by court order.
