KRS 304.1-110: "Certificate of authority" and" license" defined.

    As used in this chapter, unless the context requires otherwise:

    (1) "Certificate of authority" means a certificate issued by the commissioner evidencing

    the authority of an insurer to transact insurance in this state; and

    (2) "License" means a license or o ther authorization granted by the commissioner

    pursuant to this chapter that authorizes the licensee to engage in a business or

    operation of insurance in this state other than as an insurer.
