KRS 304.18-035: Ambulatory surgical centers, coverage.

(1) All group or blanket health insurance policies and certificates issued thereunder

providing coverage on an expense incurred basis shall provide coverage for health

care treatment or services rendered by ambulatory surgical centers approved by the

Kentucky Health Facilities and Health Services Certificate of Need and Licensure

Board. The coverage for health care treatment or services rendered by an

ambulatory surgical center shall be on the same basis as coverage provided for the

same health care treatment or services rendered by a hospital.

(2) The requirements of this section shall apply to all insurance policies, and certificates

issued thereunder, delivered or issued for delivery in this state on and after October

1, 1978.
