certification as real property appraiser.

(1) The Kentucky Real Property Appraisers Board shall require a national and state

criminal background check for each initial appl ication to be a licensed or certified

real property appraiser under the following requirements:

(a) The applicant shall provide his or her fingerprints to the Department of

Kentucky State Police for submission to the Federal Bureau of Investigation

after a state criminal background check is conducted;

(b) The results of the national and state criminal background check shall be sent

to the board; and

(c) Any fee charged by the Department of Kentucky State Police and the Federal

Bureau of Investigation shall be an amount no greater than the actual cost of

processing the request and conducting the check.

(2) The board shall issue a license or certification to an applicant authorizing the

applicant to act or offer to act as a licensed or certified real property appraiser in

this state upon:

(a) Receipt of a properly completed application;

(b) Successful completion of all applicable education, experience, and

examination;

(c) Successful completion of all statutory and administrative regulation

requirements for licensing and certification of a real property appraiser; and

(d) Payment of the required application fee.
