KRS 40.357: Administrative regulations implementing Indigent Veterans' Burial

Program.

(1) The Department of Veterans' Affairs shall promulgate administrative regulations to

implement the Indigent Veterans' Burial Program. These regulations shall be in

accordance with the provisions of KRS Chapter 13A.

(2) The Department of Veterans' Affairs shall coordinate with the Department of

Military Affairs and the veterans' service organizations to determine the eligibility

of an indigent veteran in the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the Indigent Veterans'

Burial Program under administrative regulations to be promulgated by the

Department of Veterans' Affairs.

(3) The Department of Veterans' Affairs shall coordinate the Indigent Veterans' Burial

Program with the Department of Military Affairs, the veterans' service

organizations, the Kentucky Association of Cemeteries, and the Kentucky Funeral

Directors' Association.
