- KRS Chapter 98
(1) If the work upon which a commission is engaged is completed and no further work
is contemplated within a definite time, the director of works shall notify the mayor
and legislative body of the city, and the mayor and legislative body shall forthwith
decide whether the commission shall be dissolved or shall be continued.
(2) If any commission is dissolved, all debts of the commission shall be first paid, and
if any money remains in its hands from the proceeds of bond sales, such money
shall be paid to the c ommissioners of the sinking fund of the city, to be used as a
sinking fund for the bonds from the sale of which the money was derived.
(3) Upon the dissolution of a commission, the mayor shall take charge of and preserve
all the office furniture, fixtures , machinery, tools, instruments, books and papers,
and upon the appointment of another commission the same shall be turned over to
the new commission, unless the legislative body of the city provides, by ordinance,
for the sale or other disposition of the office furniture, fixtures, tools, instruments
and machinery.
