(a) The board of drainage commissioners shall appoint a competent

superintendent of construction.

(b) The board of drainage commissioners shall determine the compensation

of the superintendent of construction.

(c) (1) The superintendent of construction shall post a bond with the

board of drainage commissioners, conditioned on honest and faithful performance.

(2) The board of drainage commissioners shall determine the amount

of the bond and approve the bond.

(d) The board of drainage commissioners may terminate the contract of the

superintendent of construction whenever the board of drainage commissioners

considers the services of the superintendent of construction to be no longer necessary.
