- Article - Local Government
(a) (1) The engineers who are appointed to the board of viewers shall
receive compensation per diem, as agreed on by the county commissioners or county
council.
(2) The individuals, other than the engineers, who are appointed to
the board of viewers shall receive $3 per day.
(3) The rodmen, axmen, chainmen, and other laborers employed by a
drainage district shall receive compensation not to exceed $2 per day each.
(b) The board of drainage commissioners may not receive a per diem but
shall be reimbursed for expenses incurred when engaged in the work of the drainage
district.
(c) All other fees and costs incurred under this title are the same as
provided by law for similar services.
