Mo. Rev. Stat. § 60.070: Rejection of bond.

Chapter 60 - County Surveyors and Land Surveys

If such bond be rejected, the county commission shall order the county surveyor to enter into a new bond, within such time as they may think reasonable, not exceeding twenty days; and in default of giving such new bond, the office shall be vacant.
