Mo. Rev. Stat. § 87.095: Funeral expenses to be paid.

Whenever an active or retired fireman shall die, as aforesaid, the board of trustees shall appropriate from the fund a sum not exceeding one hundred and fifty dollars to the widow or family for funeral expenses. In cities not within a county the payment for funeral expenses shall be two thousand dollars, and shall be paid solely from moneys within the pension fund.
