Mo. Rev. Stat. § 9.158: Diabetes awareness month designated.

The month of November shall be known and designated as "Diabetes Awareness Month". The citizens of the state of Missouri are encouraged to participate in appropriate activities and events to increase awareness of diabetes. Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases in which the body has elevated blood sugar levels over a prolonged period of time and affects Missourians of all ages.
