N.J. Stat. § 2A:18-42: No execution on docketed judgments pending application for new trial or appeal

TITLE 2A ADMINISTRATION OF CIVIL AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE

If a judgment has been docketed before the grant of a new trial or an appeal taken, no execution shall issue thereon pending the final determination of such proceedings.
