NRS 440.230: Certificates of birth and death: Numbering; attestation of date of filing by local health officer.

The local health officer shall number consecutively the certificates of birth and death, in two separate series, beginning with the number 1 for the first birth and the first death occurring in each calendar year, and sign his or her name as health officer in attest of the date of filing in his or her office.
