NRS 440.240: Certificates of birth and death: Preservation of copies by local health officer.

The local health officer shall make a complete and accurate copy of each birth and death certificate registered by him or her in the format prescribed by the State Registrar. The copies shall be preserved permanently in his or her office as the local record in such manner as directed by the Board.
