§ 8603. Practice as a clinical laboratory technician and

histotechnician and the use of the titles "clinical laboratory

technician" and "histotechnician". No person shall practice as a

clinical laboratory technician or as a histotechnician or hold himself

or herself out as a clinical laboratory technician or a histotechnician

in this state unless he or she is certified or exempt pursuant to this

article, provided that an individual licensed as a clinical laboratory

technologist, cytotechnologist, histotechnologist, or clinical

laboratory technician may practice the profession of histotechnician.
