N.Y. General Business Law § 391-p: Prohibit the rental of clothing articles previously worn

§ 391-p. Prohibit the rental of clothing articles previously worn. 1.

No person shall rent articles of clothing which have been previously

worn unless such articles of clothing are cleaned prior to such rental.

2. A knowing violation of this section shall be punishable by a civil

penalty not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars for the first violation

and not to exceed one thousand dollars for each subsequent violation.
