N.Y. Rapid Transit Law § 101: Construction of terms

§ 101. Construction of terms. Whenever the term public service

commission, or board of rapid transit railroad commissioners, or transit

construction commissioner, or transit commission, occurs in any law,

contract or document relating to a subject or matter jurisdiction

whereof was transferred to the board of transportation, or when in any

law, contract or document reference is made to such commission, board or

commissioner in connection with a subject or matter jurisdiction whereof

was so conferred, such term or reference shall be deemed to refer to and

include the board of transportation, so far as such law, contract or

document pertains to matters which are within the jurisdiction of such

board.
