N.Y. State Finance Law § 47: Substitute employees

§ 47. Substitute employees. Where in any act a line item

appropriation is made for the salary of an employee and the employee is

on leave of absence on less than full pay, the balance of such

appropriation shall be available for the payment of the salary of a

substitute employee.
