N.Y. Volunteer Firefighters' Benefit Law § 56: Non-duplication of benefits

§ 56. Non-duplication of benefits. If benefits are required to be paid

under this chapter in the event of injury to or death of a volunteer

firefighter, the volunteer firefighter or other persons entitled to such

benefits shall not receive workers' compensation under the provisions of

the workers' compensation law in relation to such injury or death.
