N.Y. Volunteer Firefighters' Benefit Law § 58: Application of provisions of workmen's compensation law

§ 58. Application of provisions of workmen's compensation law. All

the powers and duties conferred or imposed upon the chairman of the

workmen's compensation board and the workmen's compensation board by the

workmen's compensation law which are necessary for the administration of

this chapter and not inconsistent with this chapter are, to that extent,

made applicable to this chapter, even though such provisions of the

workmen's compensation law are not expressly made applicable to this

chapter by the provisions of this chapter or the workmen's compensation

law.
